More than 40 students, two communities, and a lot of smiles.
At Aslanyan School of Music, we believe music is meant to be shared. Recently, more than 40 of our students did just that, performing for residents at two retirement communities right here in Victorville: Desert Ridge Transitional Care and Sterling Inn.

Students of all ages and levels took turns at the piano. Young beginners played some of their very first pieces, while more advanced students shared music they have been working on for months. For many residents, live music brings back memories, sparks conversation, and brightens the day. For our students, it was a chance to see firsthand how much their music can mean to someone else.

Performing in the community is different from playing in a lesson or a recital. Students prepared their pieces, managed their nerves, and played for an audience that came just to enjoy their music. Experiences like these build confidence, poise, and a sense of responsibility. They also show young musicians that the hours they spend practicing can make a real difference to the people around them.

Thank you to the staff and residents of Desert Ridge Transitional Care and Sterling Inn for welcoming us so warmly. A huge thank you also goes to our students, their families, and our teachers for the time and preparation that made these performances possible. We are so proud of every student who took part.
